A live-data comparison like Brinkley Model-Z vs Forest River Shasta-Sst17lb gives recreational vehicles buyers a more realistic picture than spec sheets alone — the prices shown here reflect actual dealer asking prices, not MSRP. When evaluating recreational vehicles at this price point, experienced buyers typically weigh tow vehicle compatibility, slide-out count, floorplan layout, and fresh/gray water capacity alongside the headline number. The Forest River Shasta-Sst17lb currently carries the lower median asking price, which compounds meaningfully over a 48-to-72-month financing term — even a modest gap per month adds up to hundreds of dollars by payoff.
